Flying Pole
|
Flying Pole is a 1-hour class that teaches skills on a free-hanging silicone coated pole suspended from a single attachment point, allowing the pole to spin, swing, and move through the air. Students learn climbs, holds, poses, transitions, spins, and dynamic combinations while developing control of both their body and the movement of the apparatus. Each class begins with a 15-minute warm-up to prepare the body for training. Instruction is structured as a monthly progression, with skills building from week to week to develop strength, coordination, technique, and body awareness. Students are taught proper grip techniques, body positioning, and safe progressions while working at their individual level. Consistent attendance is encouraged, as each class builds on previously taught material and emphasizes proper technique, controlled movement, and safe skill development.
